Workers Management Training Centre was founded in the year 1997 and licensed by the Ministry of Enterprise & Employment of Eswatini as a Management Consultancy Training and Personnel Development Centre to cater for al levels of personnel, managers, and leaders in both the private and public sectors. WMTC is a consultancy department for Workers University College and is run and adminstered by te college which is the mother company. In 2017, The University Collegewas established and registered by the Eswatini Higher Education Council (ESHEC) under the Ministry of Education and Training as an institute of Higher Learning and under the umbrella name of, Workers University College.
It is a completely African organization with established collaborations with University of Africa (UOA), University of St Thomas of Mozambique and other partnersin the SADC region, Africa, India and beyond. In support of its work, WMTC has had backing from WHO, SNAT, World Vision, private companies and public organizations of solid local and international standing who share the notion that continuous improvement in quality and effective management is vital for organizational, cross-cultural, regional and international integration.
